Man charged with cross-border crimes

A 28-year-old roofer has been charged with 10 offences following a series of burglaries and assaults in Surrey and Sussex.

Isaac Devell, of Owlets Close, Maidstone, will appear at South East Surrey Magistrates Court this morning (Monday, 23 November).

The charges relate to offences in Felbridge and Edenbridge in the early hours of Thursday, 19 November, when elderly occupants were targeted and money was stolen.

Investigating Officer Detective Sergeant Stuart Underwood said: “A team of officers have worked flat-out investigating these offences and I hope our swift and decisive action reassures the communities in Surrey and Sussex.

“Surrey Police is committed to bringing offenders of crime to justice and I can assure we are working hard to identify and arrest all those responsible for these offences.”

A 14-year boy, from Swanley, has been released on police bail until January pending further enquiries.
