Kevin Hurley, the recently elected Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey, is to hold a public meeting on Tuesday 5th February at the Barn Theatre, Oxted between 7pm-9pm.

Following representations from Councillor Harwood (TDCís appointee on the Surrey Police & Crime Panel) the Commissionerís Office have agreed to stage this event as an addition to a series of meetings whereby the public can talk to Kevin and give their views on policing across the county. This is part of the development process for the Police and Crime Plan which will set out the overall strategy for policing and community safety in Surrey during his time in office.

Previously arranged events taking place in Staines, Dorking and Woking are all fully subscribed. The Oxted meeting will now provide a greater opportunity for East Surrey residents to engage in the process and it is anticipated that Members may wish to participate or assist in raising awareness ...hence this message. Sam Gyimah MP and Clerks to Parish Councils in the District will also be informed.

Places are limited Ė to register to attend the Oxted event, please contact the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner by telephone on
