Dear All

We are looking for people with an interest in rural issues and community engagement who would be willing to contribute to local policing. If you are able to commit four hours (or more) of your time each week to your local Neighbourhood Policing Team then becoming a Rural Engagement Volunteer may be the perfect opportunity for you!

The most important part of this role will be to improve the communications and interaction that we have with rural communities across Surrey. This volunteer role is for you if:

  • You have an interest in your local community and would like to help us develop a rural community network
  • You can communicate clearly and enjoy engaging with lots of different people
  • You enjoy being part of a team which works together to achieve shared goals

You will provide effective community liaison with a variety of rural bodies, residentsí groups, landowners and individuals on a range of issues, predominantly focussing on engaging issues of a rural nature and ensuring that those living and working in remote locations are kept informed of our policing activity. Through your actions, you will make a valuable contribution to helping us increase trust, confidence and satisfaction within rural communities and assisting in our overarching aim of preventing, reducing and solving crimes of a rural nature.

For more information and to apply for this role please click here Rural Engagement Volunteer Advert.
