The Felbridge Village Store has been taken over by the new
owners the Patel family and completely transformed. Situated at the heart of
The history of the store dates back many years and in the past it had become a focal point for the local community, a place where people come not just to shop, but to meet and exchange news, conversation and laughter with their friends and neighbours.
Our aim as the new owners is to rekindle that spirit within the store and create a true village shop. Our emphasis is on customer service and right from the start, the shop has surpassed all expectations.
The store boasts a good selection of popular brands for everyday products such as groceries, confectionary, household items, frozen food and ice cream as well as many locally produced food items and is ever increasing its range as per the needs of the local community.
Along with good deals on beers and wines, inexpensive spirits, newspapers, magazines, greetings cards, stamps, sandwiches and pies we sell breads and cakes from Fellows Bakery in Ardingly, which are freshly baked and delivered to the store each and every morning.
We have introduced local free range meat selections and hand
made sausages from Osney Lodge Farm in Blindly Heath, free range local eggs
from Chapel Farm in
Fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables are a must for any staple diet and the store provides a good range for all the family.
We have a colour and black & white photocopying service along with a photo printing and passport photo & fax facility. We have introduced a free to use cash machine within the store which also has the ability to top up mobile phones using a debit card.
The store has a dry cleaning collection twice a day from Anthony Moore Dry Cleaners, a reputable local firm with excellent standards, reasonable prices and quick turnaround times.
We are continually focused on introducing new services for the community and are working on the introduction of a lottery terminal and a Post Point, which enables residents to send letters and parcels nationally and internationally, with special delivery and recorded delivery available. It will be one of a tiny handful of shops in the country to offer such a service. A Paypoint terminal has been applied for which would allow household and general bills to be paid for by cash, as well as mobile phone e-top-ups and the London congestion charge. The shop will also offer free cashback on purchases of £5 or over. In this way we hope to offer as many services normally provided by a post office as possible. We will also at some stage be starting newspaper deliveries as there have been many requests for us to do so and equally have already undertaken grocery deliveries for elderly residents in the area.
