Officers granted more time to question man in connection with cross-border offences
Detectives have successfully applied to South East Surrey Magistrates Court for more time to interview a man in connection with a number of burglaries in Surrey, Sussex and Kent. This afternoon Magistrates granted officers a further 24 hours in which to question the man.
The 28-year-old was arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday, 19 November) following burglaries in London Road, Felbridge.
Detective Inspector Mark Chapman, who is leading the investigation, said: "A team of detectives from three Forces are working collaboratively to investigate these offences. I am grateful the court has allowed us additional time to question this suspect and I hope the community is reassured by our dogged endeavours to bring all those responsible for these offences to justice."
A 14-year boy, from Swanley, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
